Making Sustainable Shopping Mainstream

The Eco Village is a new venue featuring carefully selected small local businesses, each with an individual focus on sustainability. We are working to establish an alternative to the supermarket: a place where you can enjoy your weekly shop with the reassurance of knowing that the goods on offer will be as low impact as possible. Visiting us for your weekly shop will help you reduce your impact on the planet in a friendly, convenient and hassle-free environment.

We believe in supporting choice and encouraging small changes. We hope that by providing a welcoming environment for learning and debate, real change will happen. This is why we will be hosting events, courses and discussions at the Eco Village, centred around important sustainability issues.

We are really proud to provide an outlet for some wonderful local businesses including Waterloo Cottage Farm, Pearman’s Farm Shop, PrOganic milk vending machine, Pudding Corner (by Sarah Ruth Cakes), Mistry Kitchen, Windowsill indoor plants, The Flower Bar, The Cafe at the Eco Village (run by the team from The Cafe at Welland Park), and Refill Revolution, among an ever-growing community of other small businesses.

Come along to shop, enjoy lunch, a coffee and cake in our community space, or enjoy some of our incredible Pop Up food events in the courtyard every week!

We are based behind Kwik Fit on St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough close to the Market Square and the train station.

Limited customer parking is available on-site and there is ample parking less than 40 metres away.

The Eco Village is open from Tuesday – Saturday from 9am until 4pm, with a late night opening on Thursdays until 8pm.

Our opening hours

We’re proud to offer the people of Market Harborough with a sustainable food supply.

Our opening hours are:

  • Monday – closed
  • Tuesday to Saturday – 9 until 4
  • Open until 8 on Thursdays

We feel that now, more than ever, we should be focusing on changing our shopping habits – supporting local producers and small businesses, appreciating the benefits of shorter supply chains and paying a fair price for our food. We look forward to seeing you soon.
