Good things happen here

Reduce food waste

In the UK 6.6 million tonnes of household food waste is thrown away every year (wrap.org.uk). Alongside this people are living in food poverty and feeling the cost of living crisis.

We have set up a Community Fridge with Hubbub as part of their network of over 300 fridges.

Please come and donate your sealed in-date food that would otherwise be going to waste and please take what you need - for free.

Delicious food from The Village Kitchen

Market Harborough's first solely vegan café. Serving up tasty breakfasts, stews, soups, salads, savoury snacks and homemade cakes - reducing food waste and keeping prices affordable is a priority.

We have free WIFI and lots of seating inside and outside in our courtyard with plenty of space to meet friends and family or to set up and do some work.

With filter coffee for only £2 (with a free refill), a great selection of teas, oat milk or cow's milk, wine by the glass, beer or cider it's a lovely place to spend some time.

Supporting The Village

The Village is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company ran predominantly by volunteers.

We work with and support the community by providing affordable food, education at schools, a space for events, Community Fridge, accessible garden, a base for the Market Harborough Fixers, pay-it-forward initiaves and a hub for local independent businesses.

But we need your help to keep doing this and have set up a fundraising page. We are so grateful for any donations received, big or small - thank you.

Such a lovely place, everyone trading there is so friendly and helpful. Such a lovely range of sustainable products and also a lovely outdoor café! We also had Mistry Kitchen food from their outdoor street van which was incredible - will definitely be coming again!

If you like fresh food including vegan gluten-free cakes then this place is for you. Along with lots of eco-friendly products and warm welcoming staff, it would be a shame to pass by this place without stopping in for a gander. The coffee is good too... 😁
